Community Involvement
The World Health Organization includes "community involvement" as an aspect of a healthy workplace. That's because a business both affects, and is impacted by, its community. A healthy workplace can support the social and physical well-being of its community, for example, by getting involved in community events, or by improving factors that affect workers and their families.
Organizations that think "outside their walls" and act locally can create value for shareholders and contribute to the health and sustainability of their community.
